Many thousands of hours of digital art from 1997 to 2006 finally wrecked my left hand. So I started drawing (as therapy, as experiment) with my right.  All of these drawings were done in much the same way I did the digital work--stay loose, let thing happen, try to make something I’d never seen before.

So I lost a hand but got a concept show out of it--Low Tech/High Tech, where I showed 40 ink drawings with 40 digital paintings. This show continues at Word-Wise Modern (Norfolk, Va.)--757-455-5020.

Another benefit was that I had a better sense of how to combine all the different things I had been doing throughout my career. That epiphany led to the work
